Jacob Slaughter was born about 1760.

William Slaughter,
Abraham Slaughter (1790),
Isaac Slaughter,
John Slaughter,and
Jacob Slaughter, Jr.

Jacob served as a private in the American Revolution in North Carolina.

The family left Virginia and setted near the forks of the Holston River in what is now Sullivan County, Tennessee.
